Cylinder is a collaborative quartet including Aram Shelton on alto saxophone and clarinet, Darren Johnston on trumpet, Lisa Mezzacappa on bass and Kjell Nordeson on drums. All four members of Cylinder compose for the group to create a body of work that is stylistically diverse while rooted in creative jazz and free improvisation. They’ve performed together extensively in San Francisco, Oakland, and Sacramento, but have also made it out to Chicago, Milwaukee, Brooklyn, and Manhattan.
